Review Of Braun 7921 Silk Epil 7 SkinSpa Epilator
Review Of Braun 7921 Silk Epil 7 SkinSpa Epilator
I was not aware until now that the company Braun seemed to sell some models which were even higher than the SE 7681 Silk Epil 7 model. This one called the 7921 seems to be actually in the same Silk Epil 7 series but the device is different. We saw from our previous review on the Braun 7681 that the Silk Epil 7 series models, the 7181, 7281, 7381, and the 7681 all are the exact same epilator product. The only difference between the 4 types was the types of head attachments or head caps that was included with the epilator kit. For the 7681, there was 5 total head attachments. For the models known as the SkinSpa Epilators, the 7961, 7951, 7931, and the 7921 (this one) the same thing is shown. The SkinSpa Epilators are all the same. The only difference is the attachments that they come with.
For the Braun SkinSpa 7921 Silk Epil 7 Epilator it is the lowest level of the SkinSpa type. This design is slightly different from the SE7681 from before. The features it has is slightly more than what we saw before.
However, first let’s see what the pricing is like for it. When I went to the Braun website for the 7921 Product Page, it shows that there is one place you can get the model from, and that is the DrugStore.com website. On there it is listed at around $122. When we check on Amazon it is listed at $110 with free shipping. I am not sure whether the Walmart or Target online stores carry it but as for the price, the one to currently beat is Amazon’s price.
This model is known as a Wet & Dry Epilator. The dry part means that you use the epilator without any type of moisturizer, foam, lather, or water to make the session less painful. The wet part means that you can safely add water and moisture to the head and use the lather that results from the discs spinning to epilate the skin.
This new line of epilators are different because of the new features. The new features include the following…
Sonic Exfoliation Technology – This is a new feature which is derived from a different head attachment you use. The head turns into a circular scrub. The scrub bristles will be moving at around 3000 micro-vibrations every minute. It is supposed to be 4 times more effective than using your hands to scrub your face.
High Density Brush – The head attachment that would go over the epilator discs are said to be as high in number as 10,000 fine bristles. The spinning of the bristles mean that the skin area you put it on will have the top layer of any excess skin be scrubbed off. This is supposed to stimulate the regeneration of the skin tissue underneath the dead skin cells that have been removed.
Ergonomically designed angle – The handle and the head have been designed to curve inside. It is easy on the hands, wrists, and it makes it easier to reach some areas of the body which are in an angle.
All the other features that are in this model we have already seen in the lower numbered Braun Epilator models. It has something known as the “Close Grip Technology”. This means that somehow the 40 tweezers that the model has can grip even the shortest of hairs. The shortest hairs that is possible are ones that are just 0.5 millimeters short. There is the pivoting head to help the head make a much closer grip to the skin. There is a smart light in the middle to shine the skin area you are trying to epilate so that you are thorough and don’t miss any stray hairs. The plastic outer frills which some people call the fingers are there to massage the skin are you put it on. This massage is known as a high frequency massage system. The idea is that the massager should help dampen the pain associated with the hairs being pulled out by blocking a little bit of the nerves from being overstimulated.
The Silk Epil series of epilators seems to have been dermatologically recommended so there have been at least one skin doctor which felt that the hair pulling method of using electrical devices is good.
As for the design, the head is washable in water. You can just put it underneath some warm water in the sink and the epilator tip will be cleaned. The design of it means that it is waterproof. You can use it in the shower and bath if you want and use it with water and foam and it would be safe.
This model also has the speed personalization feature. You can choose between either the high speed, which means there is less pain, or choose the slower speed, which means that the hair removal will be much more thorough in getting all of the hairs out.
As for the power, it has both the cord and cordless feature. There is a rechargeable battery built inside the hair removal unit. When you do plug in the AC power cord, it would take about 1 hour to charge it to be completely full power. When you then unplug it, you have around 40 minutes of epilation time before the battery runs out of juice.
Like we said before many times over, the epilator device itself is the same but what makes each model slightly different is the types of head attachments that come with it. With the model number 7921 Skin Spa unit, there is actually no head attachments it comes with. There is only the Sonic Exfoliation Brush which spins at a very high speed to scrape dead skin cells away.

So what do other people who have gone with the Braun 7921 SkinSpa Epilator think of it?
This model might not be as well known as the other type of Silk Epil 7 models but it should get much more praise than it currently gets. Out of the almost 100 reviews, around half of the people have given it the highest of reviews, and there are very few who have anything bad to say about it. Overall, it has an average rating of 9/10. That is really good and if I was going to create a top 5 epilators list, I would put this model up there with the best of them. It seems to not just be used for hair trimming and removal, but also skin health improvement. That makes it very different from all the other epilator models we have seen so far.
Would I recommend the Braun 7921 Silk Epil 7 SkinSpa Epilator to other people?
Before I say I would recommend this model, I wanted to add something to be completely transparent in my reviews. I was not aware that this specific type of epilator design was even being sold by Braun. I had not done enough research on this line of hair removal devices. That may be from the fact that I am only looking at popular models of epilators that are already being sold on Amazon. I am an affiliate of the Amazon Associates program and I do always hope that I make a small commission everytime someone get to the website to read the reviews and buys something from the Amazon store. I guess the business man in me makes me want to always look for new ways, avenues, and approaches to help make slightly more profit. Even with this confession, I would say that this 7921 model is a great choice for an epilator. It might not be like the 7961 model which has all of the different types of head caps but if you are just trying to get your hair pulled out or exfoliate your face, then this model is all you would need.
